PaulOBrien has released Superboot for HTC One X. Superboot is a script file that automatically root your device when you boot first time with boot.img file. The Superboot requires HTC One X with S-OFF or unlock bootloader.

Prepare your phone:
- Backup your phone if anything goes wrong

- Download Superboot r1 here
Instructions to Root HTC One X:
- Download Superboot zip file and extract it to your pc/laptop
- Reboot your device to bootloader mode (Volume down + Power button)
- For Windows users: double click ‘install-superboot-windows.bat’
- For Linux users: Open a terminal window to the directory containing the files, and type ‘chmod +x install-superboot-linux.sh‘ followed by ‘./install-superboot-linux.sh‘
- Wait for the process to complete
- Reboot your device and enjoy the Rooted phone
